For Thorne Fisher, a teacher at Bridgetown High School, teaching is defined by the moment of connection. “When you see somebody understand something after you’ve explained it to them, you kind of feel good.” It is where understanding clicks into place, and a learner starts to believe they can achieve anything they set their minds to.

Thorne says learners look to you for answers, so you have to keep your head on your shoulders.
